June Vivès CONTEMPORARY

June Vivès is a French dancer and choreographer based in Paris. Trained in ballet and contemporary dance, she has worked with companies such as Komodo, Dyptik, and Opendor. Moving between cinema, stage and movement direction, she draws her artistic language from the in-between — the spaces where things shift, recycle, and transform. Her work explores negative space and storytelling through movement, where minimalism and groove converge. Grounded in flow and circular energy, her choreographic research reveals an organic and immersive physicality.

Her teaching practice reflects this research. Each class begins with meditation through movement and guided improvisation, offering tools from her choreographic exploration. Dancers are then led into crossings and improvisational playgrounds, diving deeper into the textures of the research. The class culminates with a choreographic phrase from her repertoire, embodying her material and immersing dancers in her creative world.
